19 March 2012 Skye Camanachd captain Shockie MacLennan was delighted with the team’s improved performance following their 4-1 Marine Harvest North Division 1 win over Strathglass at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 17 March 2012. Speaking to the Cuillin FM Saturday Sports Show after the game, MacLennan said, “I thought we competed well today. It was a better overall performance than in our last two games against Caberfeidh and Lochaber. We lost a soft goal but Robert Geddes is an experienced player and we fought back well after that. I think it was all down to the fight in the second half that we pulled the game back. Jordan Murchison and Iain Morrison were great up front.” Looking ahead to next weekend, MacLennan added, “We want to win every game right now and its Inverness next. They have been our bogey team over the last couple of years so we are keen to do well in that one.” |
