The juvenile team is made up of players under 17.There is a regional league with the WJ Cameron cup fought out by the two league winners.The cup iscurrently held by Skye after a hard fought out game against Lovat where the Skye side came out with only one goal seperating the teams, after a goal early on by Palmer who along with Steven Morison who stood out through out the season. There is also a north of Scotland cup in which Skye were runner's up in last year to fortwilliam. From all the north teams, each year five players are sent to the annual shinty camp held in Perth. From the players presented two teams are selected for the trip to Ireland in which Skye is regularly well represented. Last year from Skye Alan Palmer and Steven Morrison traveled to Ireland where they tour round a number of Irish clubs.

Skye player Sarah Corrigal picks up national award after a year of impressive performances on the shinty field. She received the award from ex-lion Gordon Bulloch in Glasgow city Chambers earlier this season. Aswell as representing the Skye juvenile team, she has also been part of the Skye second team and had a proninent role in the Glengarry team which won the Woman's Camanachd Cup, this along with playing her second match for the Scottish Woman's team in the shinty-camogie international with Ireland at Inverness last October.
Steak and Chips and the Strathdearn Sixes
In June 2007, Skye Camanachd sent an U17 sixes team to the Strathdearn Sixes at the
The players coach Willie Cowie had as his disposal, had all played second team shinty for Skye with both Jamie MacDonald and Ian Nicolson establishing themselves as first team players in 2007.
Skye were drawn in a tough section with near neighbours Lochcarron, Lovat,
Kilmallie are always strong at youth level but goals from Ian Nicolson and Sandy Paterson saw Skye win by two goals to one.
To inspire his team for a final push, coach Willie Cowie promised to buy all the players steak and chips if they won the final. The players responded and an Ian Nicolson double saw off Lovat by two goals to nil.
Ian Nicolson deservedly won the Player of the Tournament award to complete a clean sweep for Skye.
As for the steak and chips, well the joyous players all ate takeaway fish and chips on the journey home and there wasn’t a single complaint!
