Skye Camanachd have been given a tough test in the first round of the 2014 Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup.
The draw was made at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on Sunday 2 February 2014 and the Islanders were drawn away to Glenorchy.
The journey south will be a 330 mile round trip for Skye and they face a Glenorchy side who finished third in Marine Harvest South Division 1 last season to qualify for the new Marine Harvest National League.
Glenorchy beat Inverness at the Bught Park at the same stage of last year’s completion before going out to Newtonmore.
Skye had a 2013 first round win at Taynuilt before they also lost out in the second round; to Kinlochshiel.
The Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup first round tie between Glenorchy and Skye Camanachd will take place at Mart Park, Dalmally on Saturday 3 May 2014.
