Skye Camanachd v Glenurquhart – Team News | |
15 August 2014 Skye Camanachd first team manager John MacLeod has named his squad for the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup semi-final against Glenurquhart at An Aird on Saturday 16 August 2014. MacLeod names a 17 man squad for the club’s biggest match since 2000. Jamie Gannon and Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod, who scored twice in the Skye second team's 3-2 defeat to Newtonmore in the Strathdearn Cup Final last weekend, are added to the squad which beat Inverness 9-0 a fortnight earlier. Kenny Campbell is Skye’s only absentee and his broken finger – suffered in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter-final victory over Kilmallie – and he is around a couple of weeks away from a return. Glenurquhart co-managers Billy MacLean and Dave Menzies also have one absentee - long-term injury victim Ally MacKintosh who was their top performer when they beat the Islanders in the RBS MacTavish Cup earlier in the season. Defender Andrew Corrigan has taken holidays from his oil-based job to ensure his availability whilst John Barr has demonstrated his fitness following a hamstring injury. Lewis MacLennan and James MacPherson made scoring appearances for the Glen’s second string last weekend. Throw up is at 4.05pm and the whole match will be featured live on Cuillin FM and shown live on BBC Alba.
