Shinty Defibrillator Roll-Out Continues | |
23 September 2015 Lucky2Bhere and Heartstart Camanachd are continuing the quest to have defibrillators and the associated Emergency Life Saving training at every shinty club. Taynuilt shinty club became the first South based club to take delivery of a defibrillator and the associated training. Dr Wilson Banks of Lucky2Bhere presented Taynuilt stalwart David Thomson with a defibrillator at half-time at the SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup Final between Lovat and Kyles Athletic at Mossfield on Saturday 19 September 2015. Camanachd Association Development Officers & Heartstart Tutors Euan McMurdo and Russell Jones recently provided the training in Taynuilt. The clubs who now have received a defibrillator and the Emergency Life Saving training are:
Lucky2Bhere has also recently provided a defibrillator to the Camanachd Association All other clubs are encouraged to consider the benefits to their club and community of having a defibrillator and trained personnel.
