There was a huge turnout for the Bonfire & Fireworks night at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Wednesday 5 November 2014.
A crowd of over a 1,000 came to support the event and Skye Camanachd used their Facebook page to issue the following message:
A big “thank you” to everyone who came along to the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse to watch Skye Camanachd’s first attempt at hosting a Bonfire & Fireworks night. We usually leave the fireworks for the shinty pitch but last night was special, aided by the favourable weather. Special thanks to all the volunteers, especially Davie & Moreen Pringle who were the main organisers. When Davie first suggested we do this, a few of us thought he was off his trolley (we still do) but both he and Mo put in a lot of effort to bring this together. Dan Corrigall is also due a mention for putting together the actual fireworks display. It was spectacular and rumour is that they want to hire him in Oban for next year!
