Glenurquhart 5 Skye Camanachd 1 | |
01 July 2019 The Glenurquhart reserves turned in a sparkling first half performance to beat the Skye Camanachd reserves 5-1 in their Strathdearn Cup quarter-final tie at Blairbeg on Saturday 29 June 2019. Glen’s Bradley Sneddon was free of suspension for this 2pm throw up whilst Murphy Henderson returned in goal for Skye. Daniel MacKintosh was moving the ball around quickly and he scored on 23 and 27 minutes for the hosts whilst David MacLennan, who was physically strong up front, made it 3-0 on 35 minutes. With Eddie Tembo prompting from midfield, Charlie MacLeod added a fourth on 42 minutes. Although Daniel Morrison pulled a goal back 3 minutes into the second half with an effort that deceived Glen keeper Iain Macleod, David MacLennan got his second from the penalty spot on 72 minutes to make it 5-1. Both teams had periods of pressure in the game but Glenurquhart made more of theirs.
