Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh Are P5 Winners | |
10 February 2020 The Skye round of the P5 (& under) National First Shinty Festival took place at the Portree High School Fingal Centre on Saturday 8 February 2020. Seven teams - Broadford Greens, Broadford Reds, Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh A, Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh B, a mixed Elgol / Kyleakin side, Sleat and North West – all took part, playing eachother on a round-robin basis. Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh finished top whilst North West and Broadford Reds held a playoff for second place. North West won the play-off to reach the final but Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh ran out winners and they go forward to the P 5 (& under) National First Shinty Finals in Fort William on Saturday 29 February 2020. Dan Campbell from the mixed Elgol / Kyleakin team was named as the player of the tournament. The Portree tournament was organised by Skye active schools co-ordinator Sarah Ross. |
