2012 Balliemore Cup Draw | |
06 February 2012 The draw for the 2012 Balliemore Cup was made in Fort William on Friday 3 February 2012. With holders Bute not eligible as they are now in the Scottish Hydro Premier Division, it was left for 2011 runners up Caberfeidh to secure probably the tie of the round as they travel to Spean Bridge to play Lochaber. The winners will travel to play the victors from the tie between recently relegated Oban Camanachd and Strathglass. Glasgow Mid Argyll head for Fife to play Aberdour in a repeat of their Glasgow Celtic Society Cup draw. There will be a west coast derby in Portree as Skye Camanachd and Lochcarron battle for home advantage against Aberdour or Glasgow Mid Argyll in the second round. Inverness have home advantage against Oban Celtic in what is only one of three north v south meetings in the first round. Beauly could have home advantage right through to the last four if they win their ties and they have avoided several of the big guns.
