The Dublin Diaries - Part 13. | |
29 July 2011 Follow the Scotland U17 squad on their 2011 tour of Ireland. It's a tired but happy Scotland squad at the final whistle of their 23-17 win over Dublin on Tuesday 26 July 2011. Some players swapped camans for hurley sticks after the game and they tested out their new stick before leaving the field. The Dublin players were also keen to swap tops but there was no way that the Scotland players were parting with their precious shirts. The Scotland and Dublin players enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Goblin Restaurant after the game, again provided by the Dublin County Board. The Scotland party then head back for the Carlton Dublin Airport Hotel The players gathered in Danny Delaney and Stuart Callison's room after the game but as the saying goes, what goes on in the room stays in the room! Just as well probably! The coaching staff allowed themselves a small guinness and some satisfied reflection on the evening's game before heading for bed ahead of their early start in the morning. |
