| Skye Camanachd Boss MacVicar Content With Point. | |
| 11 July 2010 Skye Camanachd second team manager Davie MacVicar was content to pick up a point from the Marine Harvest North Division 2 match against Fort William at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 10 July 2010. “We would have taken a point before the game” said MacVicar, “and although you could have said that we should have won the match given that we were leading 2-1 with just 3 minutes to go, a draw was a fair result.” “Fort William had a young side and it’s a long time since we have taken a point off them. It’s not the sort of game where we were expecting to win a point so this is a bonus.” Reflecting on how the game went, MacVicar said, “We didn’t win enough ball in midfield today but I thought we were good in defence and creative in attack. Defender Shaun Hedley put in a power of work at wing back. Ally MacDonald showed his versatility in attack. He scored 2 goals there today but was outstanding at full back for our sixes side in Lewis last week.” Next up for Skye is a home match against Beauly next weekend. | |
