| MacDonald Praises Defensive Performance. | |
| 09 May 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald was pleased with his side’s defensive display following their 1-0 defeat to Lovat at Balgate in the first round of the Artemis Macaulay Cup on Saturday 8 May 2010.
“I thought our keeper Jamie Gannon and whole defence were excellent today,” said MacDonald. “Steven Morrison was tremendous at full back and Allan MacLeod played his best game of the season. It was great to have Jamie MacDonald back and he did well against Euan Ferguson who is a tricky customer and Iain Nicolson has been one of our most consistent players this season.”
“However we definitely missed Sorley’s presence up front when he had to come off. That was a blow. We had a lack of fire-power up front today but that’s something we will work on.”
Next weekend, Skye Camanachd host Marine Harvest South Division 1 side Taynuilt in the second round of the Balliemore Cup. | |
