| Portree and South Skye Compete Well At P5 First Shinty Festival. | |
| 21 March 2010 Portree Primary School and South Skye both competed well at the P 5 & Under National First Shinty Finals at Charleston Academy, Inverness on 20 March 2010.
This tournament featured the regional winners from First Shinty Indoor events throughout Scotland.
Portree perhaps didn’t perform as well as they could on the day but they did have some plus points. Stewart Taylor was ill on the journey to the competition but still managed to score six goals throughout the day. Portree were coached by Davie Taylor and Phil McCaherty.

South Skye won 2 and lost 2 of their games and they missed out on a semi final place by a single point. Their top scorers were Ruaraidh MacLeod and Martin MacRae
