The wintery weather has ruined the pre-season plans of several shinty clubs on Saturday 27 February 2010.

The 2010 Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup match between Skye Camanachd and Kingussie is off as the Pairc nan Laoch pitch hasn’t thawed from a recent period of frost.

The friendly between Strathglass and Fort William at Cannich is also off.

Beauly’s trip to the Eilan to play Newtonmore is off with the Badenoch area probably hit with the most snow.

Lochaber’s game against Kyles Athletic at Spean Bridge is off. The clubs tried to switch venues but Tighnabruaich also proved unplayable.

The shinty season proper starts on Saturday 6 March 2010.
