Ireland have announced their squad for the shinty / hurling international against Scotland at Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 31 October 2009.

The Irish management team has also changed this year with Lester Ryan of Kilkenny stepping down after 3 defeats.

The new management team has Joe Dooley, the Offaly manager as the new Team Manager. Dooley is a former all star winner and brother of Johnny Dooley. Jim Mackernan the Down manager, and former Antrim manager, who won the Christy Ring Cup with Antrim is Assistant Manager. Kevin Ryan the Carlow manager, who has just won the Christy Ring Cup, is the other Assistant Manager.

The Irish team will be captained this year by Tommy Walsh of Kilkenny who has just been named Hurler of the Year and has won his seventh straight all star award.
