Scotland U21 Head Coach Donnie Martin has included 3 Skye Camanachd players in his training squad of 39 players for the 2009 shinty / hurling international against Ireland U21.

Skye Camanachd full back and 2008 Marine Harvest Player of the Year Steven Morrison is included. Morrison was part of the 2007 Scotland U21 squad which played the Irish at An Aird, Fort William and the 2008 Scotland U21 squad which played in Ireland.

Skye Camanachd forward Ally MacLennan is also been included and he was also part of the 2008 squad in Ireland.

Iain Nicolson takes his place in the squad after his impressive performances both in the forward line and in defence for Skye Camanachd this season. Nicolson also impressed at the Skye & Wester Ross / Inverness-shire trials.

The squad will be involved in a series of training sessions.

The squad will then be reduced to a final pool of 18 players with 2 reserves for the international.

The Scotland v Ireland Senior and U21 Internationals will take place at Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 31 October 2009.
