There is a reminder for all Skye Camanachd members heading for California next month to make sure they have made application for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) under the Visa Waiver Scheme.

This can be done either by going to the American Embassy Website on http://www.usembassy.org.uk/ and clicking on the top right hand corner under ESTA where you can read about the scheme and see if you are eligible to apply.

Alternatively if you are sure that you are eligible, you can go straight to the website to fill in the form at:

It is a very easy process and you don’t need to complete details of flight numbers or American addresses etc.

You will get a reply straightaway if your travel is authorised and you will get the opportunity to print out a document to confirm.

The travelling party will be boarding at GLA Glasgow International Airport at 10.15am on 25 August 2009 on Flight US00769.

They will then make a transfer at PHL Philadelphia International Airport to flight US00701 to SFO San Francisco International.

The party will be staying at Stanford University, 450 Serra Mall, Stanford, CA 94305 during the stay.
