The 2009 Balliemore Cup Final takes place between Kinlochshiel and Strathglass at Rothesay, Bute on Saturday 18 July 2009.

Kinlochshiel will rely on their own Band of Brothers as Keith, Finlay and John MacRae take the field to try and take the Balliemore Cup back to the west coast for the third consecutive year.

All 3 were part of the 2007 Shiel side which beat Glenurquhart 1-0 at the Eilan to win the trophy for the first time.

Keith and Finlay were also in the Shiel side which went down 3-1 to Kyles Athletic at Pairc na Laoch, Portree in 2005.

Youngest brother John is even following in his brothers footsteps on the international stage, having just returned from the Scotland U17 Development squad’s Irish tour where he captained the A team.

The MacRae brothers’ contribution will be pivotal to Kinlochshiel’s chances of success.
