Skye Camanachd Injury Update. | |
25 May 2009 The Skye Camanachd first and second each suffered significant injuries in their matches on First team play-maker Somhairle MacDonald was substituted during the second half of his team’s Marine Harvest North Division 1 win over Caberfeidh with a nasty elbow injury. He suffered significant swelling to the elbow following the knock and manager Angie Murchison will monitor his fitness ahead of this Saturday’s league clash – also against Caberfeidh – at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree. Second team captain Ross Graham suffered a recurrence of his knee injury in the weekend defeat to Glenurquhart. Graham had to be withdrawn just a minute into the second half and at this stage second team manager Davie MacVicar fears that he could be without his captain for the remainder of the season. Graham made a successful return from the same knee injury last season and played in goal for the first team for most of the season. He was always keen to return to his normal defensive berth and has played in defence for the second team for most of the 2009 season. |
