| Portree High School Lift 2009 Robertson Cup. | |
| 15 April 2009 The sixes competition took place at Portree then beat Glenurquhart 5-1. They opened the scoring with a long range strike from defender Calum Gibb. Glenurquhart leveled when the ball went into the net off a Portree defender. However a double from Jordan Murchison and a Chris MacLennan goal put Portree into the lead and Murchison went on to complete his hat-trick before the end. Murchison was again the hero as Portree beat Inverness side A Chris MacLennan double and a Jordan Murchison goal gave Portree a convincing 3-0 win over the Badenoch side. Portree lined up against Dingwall once again in the final and in an exciting match, captain Jordan Murchison led by example with a last minute goal. However Dingwall still had time for one last attempt at goal and it took a great save from Portree keeper Euan Forrest to ensure the cup went over the sea to Skye. The Portree team was coached by Wilma MacRuary and Eoghan Stewart and the Robertson Cup was presented to Portree captain Jordan Murchison. The event was run by the School's Camanachd Association. | |
