The defence seems more settled with Steven Morrison, Dougie Rankin, John Moir and Allan MacLeod establishing themselves as a solid defensive unit last season. Jamie Gannon turned in some impressive performances in goal last season and he will start between the sticks. Murchison is likely to rotate his substitutes so that they maintain their match fitness by playing games for the second team. Skye missed out on friendly matches against Glenurquhart and Oban Camanachd because of unplayable pitches but the players have been training hard in Portree and Glasgow and start the season with confidence.
