New Skye Camanachd first team manager Angie Murchison hasn't wasted any time appointing his right hand man for the shinty season ahead.

Experienced first team player Aonghas MacDonald will be the new assistant manager.

MacDonald is unlikely to play shinty this season as he recovers from a recent hip operation.

He will bring organisation, passion and great enthusiasm to the role an will have a vital part to play as Skye Camanachd look to be amongst the leading clubs in what will be a tough Marine Harvest North Division 1 in 2009.
