Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup
With 31 competing teams, the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup is the largest of all the Cup competitions.
There are 15 ties in the first round with Caberfeidh receiving a bye.
Current holders Kilmallie set out to retain their trophy with a trip to Inveraray knowing that the prize for the winners is a trip to North Division 3 champions Glenurquhart or Beauly.
Last year’s beaten finalists Fort William travel to the capital but shouldn’t have too much difficulty against Inverness. The winners will be away to Lewis Camanachd or Aberdour.
In the pick of the other ties, Skye Camanachd entertain Lovat in Portree and the winners will also enjoy home advantage in the second round against either Aberdeen University or Bute.
Lochcarron face the long trip to Glenorchy but victory will mean a shorter journey to play Caberfeidh. another interesting tie is between newly formed clubs Lewis Camanachd or Aberdour.
Kingussie have been given a difficult trip to Oban to play Lochside Rovers who reached the semi final in 2008. The winners will enjoy home advantage against the victors from the derby between last year’s semi finalists Glengarry and Lochaber.
The first round ties will take place on 11 April 2009 with the second round on 9 May 2009.
