| Portree Primary School in Shinty World Cup Final. | |
| 15 July 2008 Portree Primary School and Fort William Primary School will contest this year’s Shinty World Cup Final at the Inverness Highland Games, Bught Park, Inverness on Sunday 20th July 2008. Both teams qualified by winning their respective leagues in the sixes qualifying tournament held at Drumnadrochit last month. Eighteen primary school teams took part in the event organised in partnership between the Camanachd Association and Highland Active Schools.
The final throws up up at 11.30am and will be 12.5 minutes each way - match total 25 minutes.
The Portree squad is: James Pringle, Calum MacInnes, Jack Latton, Kyle Pirie, Willie Cowie, Andrew Grant, Steven MacKinnon, DJ Gilpen
Portree will be hoping to add the Shinty World title to what has already been a very successful season. | |
