| Scotland International Coaching Team Announced. | |
| 14 July 2008 Following a new selection process, the Camanachd Association is pleased to announce that this year's International Head Coach will be Fraser Mackenzie from Lochcarron. Ballachullish's Charles Young and Fort William's Drew McNeil have been appointed as Assistant Coaches Fraser, Charles and Drew between them have a vast and varied amount of coaching and playing experience both in club shinty as well as at representative and international level. This coaching team will ensure that the Scottish squad are best prepared for this year's Shinty / Hurling International on 18 October 2008 in Ireland. The Camanachd Association's Coaching and Performance Manager, Graham Cormack said "The management team will meet to begin the planning of a preparation programme in the near future. It is expected that with these appointments the Scottish team will continue to develop and succeed in the International event and will build further on the positive experiences of recent years." | |
