02 October 2021 This week’s Skye Camanachd results are in! The Skye Camanachd first team lifted the Alvance British Aluminium Balliemore Cup for the third time after coming from behind to beat Beauly 3-1 in the final at An Aird, Fort William on Saturday 2 October 2021. Beauly took a 9 minute lead through Ross Forbes but James Pringle won possession to equalise on 16 minutes. John Gillies and Ross Gordon combined to set up James Pringle to score with a great strike just 3 minutes later as Skye took a 2-1 interval advantage. Sam Macphee’s late shot on the run secured victory with Skye skipper Jordan Murchison stepping forward to receive the trophy from sponsors Alvance. The Skye Camanachd second team did not have a fixture on Saturday 2 October 2021. Skye Camanachd A were to play Ardnamurchan B at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree in the Women’s Camanachd Association West Senior League on Saturday 2 October 2021 but the game was postponed because of covid restrictions. Skye Camanachd B did not have a fixture. The Skye Camanachd Development squad were scheduled to face Kinlochshiel at Rèaraig on Sunday 3 October 2021. However heavy rain led to a postponement. Skye Camanachd U17 did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd U14 beat Inverness U14 4-0 in their phase 2 Mowi U14 North of Scotland League clash at the Bught Park, Inverness on a Friday 1 October 2021. Brodie MacQueen scored twice with Ali Stewart and Jamie Ross getting the others. |
