Skye Camanachd U17 0 Beauly U17 2 - UPDATED! | |
18 June 2015 Skye Camanachd U17 went down to their first London Shield defeat of the season when they lost 2-0 Beauly U17 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Tuesday 16 June 2015. Skye Ross Nicolson was still out with a broken collar bone and Ruairidh MacLeod seems to have suffered the recurrence of a hand injury. Sean MacCallum returned and there were also places for Connor Ross, Stephen Murchison and Ross Gordon. This will be the teams’ second meeting in four days with the Beauly youngsters running out 2-0 winners in the MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final on Saturday. It had been a dry morning in Portree and but the weather took a turn for the worse by late afternoon and there was heavy rain by the time referee Donnie Martin got this 7pm throw up underway. Just as they had done in the MacTavish Juvenile Final, Beauly struck first with an early goal from Sandy Elrick. Skye had chances to draw level, especially in the second half, but Sandy Elrick got his and Beauly’s second midway through the second period to give his side a cushion. The win means the Beauly youngsters have maintained their 100% record in the London Shield.
