This was be followed by an excellent meal and social evening for the players and other invited guests including loyal followers of the club from the 1990-era right up to the present day. To add to the occasion, Lovat Shinty Club kindly let Skye have the Camanachd Cup for the weekend. The job of delivering the famous trophy to Skye, and returning it to Balgate at the end of the evening, was entrusted to former Skye Camanachd player and retired Police Chief Inspector Andy MacLean. All those taking part donated to a raffle and auction which raised a healthy some of money.
