Skye Camanachd 2014 Awards | |
23 November 2014 The Skye Camanachd 2014 Awards were announced at the club’s Annual Dinner Dance at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 22 November 2014. There were over 100 people present to celebrate what has been a terrific season for the club across all teams. Those present enjoyed a meal before the presentations, following which there was music from the Ally K Dance Band.
The following awards were made: First Team Player of the Year – Ally MacDonald Second Team Player of the Year – Iain MacLeod Ladies Player of the Year – Caitlin MacLean Ladies Most Improved Player of the Year – Nicola MacSween U17 Player of the Year – Will Cowie U14 A Player of the Year – John Gillies U14 A Most Improved Player of the Year – Stewart Taylor U14 B Player of the Year – James Morrison U14 B Most Improved Player of the Year – Murphy Henderson
Angus Murchison Cup – Davie Pringle Caman DR – John Gillies
There were also additional awards for: First Team Top Scorer – Shockie MacLennan & Jordan Murchison First Team Ever-Presents – Ally MacDonald & Ally “Spod” MacLeod Best Trainer – David Grant Ladies Players’ Player of the Year – Sarah Corrigall, Emma Gordon, Izzy Law Ladies Young Player of the Year – Emma Gordon Ladies Most Improved Player – Christina MacDonald Ladies Goal of the Season – Lorna MacRae (v Lochaber at Spean Bridge)
The awards were handed out by Skye Camanachd medic Helen Gilpin and there was a special presentation to former Skye Camanachd secretary Moira Gordon who has recently relocated from Portree to Perth-shire. |
