28 October 2013 Lovat’s Greg Matheson will captain Scotland U21 in the 2013 Marine Harvest Shinty / Hurling international against Ireland U21 at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 2 November 2013. Scotland U21 Head Coach Ronald Ross said, “Greg is currently one of the top strikers in the game. He has had another good season with Lovat and he is a handful for Premiership defenders. He is one of our most experienced players and was in the squad last year and has played shinty / hurling at youth level for a few years now. Greg leads by example and he’s earned the chance to captain the side.” Series Details The second test between Scotland and Ireland takes place at the Bught Park, Inverness. Throw-in is at 2pm and the match will be televised live by BBC2 Scotland and TG4.
