Alan MacRae Stays On At Beauly | |
17 November 2018 Alan MacRae remains in charge of the Beauly first team. MacRae is fresh from leading the Scotland U21 squad to a Shinty / Hurling win over Ireland U21 in Dublin and he has been in charge at Marine Harvest National Division side since prior to the 2017 shinty season. Alan Bruce, assisted by Kyle MacDonald and Gregor MacCormick, will look after the Beauly reserve side. The club also held their Annual General Meeting at the Lovat Arms Hotel on Thursday 15 November 2018. Don Fraser was elected Chieftain with David MacLean as Vice Chief. David Calder continues as President with Iain Petrie Vice-President. Secretary Steven MacKenzie and Treasurer Iain Morrison also remain in their positions. There was also good news for the club as their Youth Coach Niall MacLennan was this year’s winner of Highlife Highland’s Community Coach of the Year award. This award takes into consideration nominations across all sports in the Highlands and was awarded for the work Niall MacLennan does at Inverness High School, Beauly Shinty Club and volunteering for the Camanachd Association. It was been a great season for the Beauly youths with their U14 side undefeated as they won Marine Harvest North Division 1 and the MacMaster Cup. |
