MacDonald Looks Back On Game Of Two Halves. | |
07 June 2010 Skye Camanachd first team manager Aonghas MacDonald looked back on a game of two halves following his side’s 6-3 win over Lochaber in Marine Harvest North Division 1 at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 5 June 2010. “We got off to a good start and took our chances well,” said MacDonald. “Our defence gave a good account of themselves in the first half and – Jamie’s injury aside – I was pleased at the break. However we could have done better in the second half, particularly at the back. I think we really missed Jamie MacDonald during the second 45 minutes.” “However it was a good effort over the peace and 6 goals against a quality side like Lochaber is very pleasing. I thought Steven Morrison was commanding throughout and Kerr Gibb was really effective in midfield. Alan Palmer and Danny Morrison worked the Lochaber defence really hard. And what can you say about Kenny Campbell who ran the show. In fact 4 of our 6 goals came from midfield which doesn’t happen often.” Skye are not in action next weekend which MacDonald is not too disappointed about. “With the injuries we have accumulated, the free weekend has maybe come at the right time.” |
