27 June 2012 The Lucky2Bhere Sixes Shinty Tournament in Burlingame, California on Sunday 24 June 2012 was a great success. The tournament took place at Burlingame High School, 1 Mangini Way, with 12 noon start. Prior to the event, organiser Michael Bentley said, “We want to get as many folks out as possible to support the event. We want lots of players, side & goal judges, fans and families to come along for what will be a fun day. One of the Sixes teams will be wearing Lucky2BHere t-shirts on the day and we'll be relaying match reports back to Lucky2BHere HQ on Skye. After the matches, there will be social gathering featuring food & drink.” Click on the link to read a report on the day’s events http://norcalshinty.com/media/2012-L2BH-sixes-match-report.html Lucky2Bhere is a Skye-based registered charity established in 2007 to raise funds to provide emergency lifesaving equipment such as defibrillators in rural areas.
