Scotland Women’s Head Coach Stuart Reid said, “I was extremely pleased with the quality and ability of the players who tried out for the Scotland squad this year. Throughout the trial process and from watching league and cup matches, it has become clear that women’s shinty has improved tremendously in a very short space of time, and it was an incredibly hard job to narrow it down to a squad of nineteen players. However I am very confident that the players picked will be able to repeat the success of last year by winning the match, and we are very much looking forward to the challenge.” The squad will now begin training for the representative clash with a series of dates already set. The Scotland Women’s squad is still seeking sponsorship for the game and they ask any interested companies or businesses to contact womens.shinty@googlemail.com if they would like to hear more about sponsorship packages which will ensure maximum visibility for the company name. |
