Valerie Fraser Cup Final …………. 3 Days To Go! | |
24 August 2016 The Marine Harvest Challenge Cup Final between Lovat and Strathglass takes place ahead of the Valerie Fraser Cup Final between Skye Camanachd and Lochaber at An Aird, Fort William on Saturday 27 August 2016. Lovat entered the competition at the quarter-final stage where they beat Glengarry 6-4 at Craigard. Next up was a semi-final tie against Dunadd which Lovat won 10-2 at the Bught Park. Strathglass beat Inverness 7-0 at the Bught Park in the preliminary round. That earned them a quarter-final meeting with Ardnamurchan at Cannich which they won 4-1. The semi-final against Fort William at the Bught Park was a close affair which Strathglass won 1-0. The sides met at Balgate in the league on the opening day of the season. Lovat won that encounter 5-4 and the final is likely to be another close affair.
