12 February 2016 Skye Camanachd first team manager John MacLeod has named his squad for the pre-season friendly against Strathglass at Cannich on Saturday 13 February 2016. Davie Pringle will look after the side on the day as John MacLeod is working. This will be Skye’s first pre-season friendly and they take on Marine Harvest North Division 1 side Strathglass. Skye are without forwards Will Cowie and Danny Morrison who are both abroad whilst Jamie Gannon takes over in goal from Iain MacLeod. Chris Rose and Kenny MacLeod are also missing. Youngsters John Gillies and James Pringle are called into the squad and there are places for David MacInnes and Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod. Strathglass boss David Balharry will look to build on the progress made last season and with youngsters such as Jono Price mixed in with the more experienced Darren Reid and Ally MacAdams. The teams will play for the Annual Murdo MacKenzie Memorial Cup which was won by Newtonmore last year. Throw up at Cannich is at 1pm.
