Skye Seconds Continue Good Run - Skye Camanachd 3 Aberdeen University 1 | |
06 May 2013 The Skye Camanachd second team continued their good run with a 3-1 Marine Harvest North Division 2 win over Aberdeen University at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 4 May 2013. This was the Skye reserve’s first home match since mid-March. The Islanders did not have a game last weekend and they faced an Aberdeen side which drew 2-2 with Kinlochshiel last Saturday thanks to a Willie Hunter brace. The Islanders welcomed defender Neil John Campbell back into the side and Shaun Hedley was to be included but a hand injury at work has ruled him out. Angie MacDonald fired home to give Skye and 8 minute lead. Ally MacDonald made it 2-0 on 23 minutes and they took that lead into the interval. Willie Hunter pulled a goal back for the Students with a shot from the right on 61 minutes, However Angie MacDonald got his second goal of the afternoon just 4 minutes later to make it 3-1. The two points mean Skye remain second in Marine Harvest North Division 2.
