Skye Primaries Reach CA Club Cup National Final | |
29 June 2019 Skye Camanachd Primaries beat Inverlochy 3-1 in the North Final of the Camanachd Association Cup at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 28 June 2019. This is a new competition in the primary school age shinty calendar. Skye had already recorded wins over Balnain & Glen and then Inverness with a squad made up of pupils from all around the Island. The match was played 10-a-side and Ali MacLeod and Robert MacQueen again looked after the side for this 6pm throw up. James Clark put Inverlochy ahead on just 3 minutes but Alasdair Stewart on 13 minutes, Seonaidh Alex MacLeod on 44 minutes and John Archie Tuncay on 67 minutes gave Skye victory. Referee John Angus Gillies warmed up for the following day’s Scottish Sea Farms Glasgow Celtic Society Cup Final by refereeing the match.
