Skye officials are represented at the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final between Oban Camanachd and Kingussie at the Bught Park, Inverness on Saturday 16 September 2023.
Former Skye players Ewen Maclean and Donjee MacLeod will be linesmen at shinty’s showpiece event.
Dalmally referee Des McNulty will take charge of the game. He has been an official for over six years and has experience of refereeing big matches such at the Artemis Macaulay Cup final, the Ferguson Transport & Shipping Balliemore Cup final and the Badenoch derby between Kingussie and Newtonmore in the Mowi Premiership.
He said: “The Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup is the most prestigious cup in shinty and to be selected to officiate this game is a great honour.
“From my first game as a referee between Col-Glen and Ballachulish until now, it has been a privilege to help shinty thrive. Catching up with familiar faces at matches is a great joy and the refereeing certainly helps with the fitness.
“I look forward to what I’m sure will be a cracking game and wish both teams the best of luck in the final.”
Officials Director, John MacRitchie said: “Des has shown dedication and commitment to officiating and has received commendation from shinty fans, players and was indeed given the Mowi Emerging Referee of the Year award back in 2017.
“We have every confidence in his ability to manage the occasion that is the Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup Final.”
