15 April 2016 Skye Camanachd first team manager John MacLeod has named his squad for the RBS MacTavish Cup quarter-final tie with Newtonmore at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 16 April 2016. There are four changes to the squad which was named for last weekend’s postponed Marine Harvest Premiership match against Fort William. Shockie MacLennan and Iain Nicolson are working and Allan MacLeod drops out of the squad. Chris MacLennan returns after playing for the seconds last weekend and there’s are call-ups for David MacInnes and James Pringle. The Skye boss remains without Will Cowie and the injured Ian Murray and Ally “Spod” MacLeod. In a late change, Iain Murray suffered a broken finger in training on Thursday night so DJ Gilpin is named in his place. John MacLeod is working so second team manager Davie Pringle will look after the side. Newtonmore boss Paul John MacKintosh will have Paul MacArthur back after he missed last weekend’s 3-0 win over Lochaber in their Marine Harvest Premiership meeting at Spean Bridge. Norman Campbell will play his last match for at least 6 weeks as he is scheduled to have knee surgery the week after the game. Keeper Owen Fraser is free of his two match suspension. Throw up is at 2.30pm and there will be extra-time and penalties if necessary. The whole match will be broadcast LIVE on radio and online on Cuillin FM’s Camanachd Live show from around 2.15pm.
