The Skye Camanachd U14 2013 Player of the Year awards were announced at the club’s Annual Dinner Dance at the Skye Camanachd Clubhouse on Saturday 25 January 2014.
Skye Camanachd U14 A Player of the Year – James Pringle
The 2013 Skye Camanachd U14 A Player of the Year award went to James Pringle. Skye Camanachd Youth Coach John MacLeod said, “This was a close choice between Ryan Morrison and James Pringle. However James edged it with some fine individual performances at full centre throughout the 2013 league and cup campaigns. James was unfortunate to miss out on a place in the North U14 representative squad but he gave everything in all his performances for Skye Camanachd and he is a worthy winner.”

Skye Camanachd U14 A Most Improved Player of the Year – Marcus Ross

Skye Camanachd Youth Coach John MacLeod said, “Marcus, who was the Skye Camanachd U14 B Player of the Year in 2012, was a clear winner in this category. He had another fantastic season with Skye Camanachd, culminating in a superb display in defence for the North 14 squad which beat the South U14 in Oban this year. Marcus played at half back for Skye last season and he is a very physical and powerful player who gets around the park well. He is a popular choice amongst players and coaches and this award is well deserved recognition for his performances throughout the season.”
