18 June 2022 This week’s Skye Camanachd results are in. The Skye Camanachd first team beat Lochaber 3-0 in the Mowi National Division at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 18 June 2022. All the goals came in the second half with Ross Gordon (50), James Pringle (74) and Taylor Matheson (80) scoring. The teams also contested the Thomas Ferguson Memorial Cup, 50 years on from the inaugural encounter in 1972, and the trophy was presented to Skye skipper Ally “Cleodi” MacLeod by Thomas’s sister Margaret. The Glasgow Mid Argyll Shield for man of the match went to Skye’s John Gillies. The Skye Camanachd second team drew 1-1 in their Mowi North Division 1 meeting with the Kinlochshiel second team at Rèaraig on Saturday 18 June 2022. Ian MacPherson put Skye ahead on 33 minutes but Kieran Martin levelled on 69 minutes. Skye Camanachd A were 14-0 winners in their WCA Mowi Valerie Fraser Camanachd Cup quarter-final tie against Ardnamurchan at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 18 June 2022. The Skye scorers were Caitlin Maclean (2), Donna MacKenzie (3), Jenna Beaton (2), Megan Campbell (3), Catherine Robertson (1), Teri MacLeod (2) and Lexie MacLeod (1). Skye Camanachd under-17 lost 4-2 against Beauly under-17 in a Mowi National London Shield – Section D match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Tuesday 14 June 2022. The Skye primaries lost 1-0 in their Camanachd Association Cup semi-final against Glenurquhart primaries at Battery Park on Friday 17 June 2022.
