The Skye Camanachd second team beat the Kinlochshiel second team 3-1 after extra-time in their HIS Sutherland Cup first round tie at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 9 April 2022. After a goalless first half, Archie MacRae gave ‘Shiel a 56 minute lead from the penalty spot but Skye’s Archie Millar levelled on 63 minutes, also with a penalty. Skye substitute Angus Gilpin made the difference with goals on 101 and 108 minutes to send Skye through to the next round. Both keepers – Calum Nicolson for Skye and ‘Shiel’s Calum MacMillan – made some great saves.
