08 October 2022 This week’s Skye Camanachd results are in! The Skye Camanachd first team will play Mowi Premiership shinty next season after they beat Beauly 2-0 in their Mowi National Division top of the table clash at Braeview Park on Saturday 8 October 2022. Ross Gordon turned home a rebound, after Jordan Murchison’s shot was saved, on 73 minutes before Somhairle MacDonald’s free-hit, after Ross Gordon had been impeded, picked out James Pringle who sent a wonderful shot from distance into the top corner of the net. Skye now lead the league by two points and require at least a point from their final league match of the season at Inveraray on Saturday to clinch the title. The Skye Camanachd second team lost 4-3 in an entertaining Mowi North Division 1 match against the Kingussie second team at the Dell on Saturday 8 October 2022. James Robertson, Ryan Nicolson (yes, this isn’t a typo) and Archie Millar scored the Skye goals, but Michael Slimon and a Robert Shiells hat-trick gave Kingussie their third successive victory. Skye Camanachd A have completed their fixtures for the season. Skye Camanachd B have completed their fixtures for the season. Skye Camanachd under-17 did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd under-14 are league champions after beating Fort William under-14 8-1 in their Mowi North of Scotland Division 1 (Phase 2) match at An Aird on Friday 7 October 2022. Brody MacQueen and Oliver Langlands both scored twice with Iain MacInnes, Rylie Anderson, Harry Speed and Reid Constance getting the others. The win means Skye add the league trophy to the MacMaster Cup won earlier in the year and they have completed the season undefeated. Skye Camanachd home fixtures are sponsored by Macleod and MacCallum solicitors, estate agents and letting agents, serving the Highlands & Islands for more than 50 years. |
