04 June 2022 This week’s Skye Camanachd results are in. The Skye Camanachd first team were 3-2 winners in their Ferguson Transport & Shipping Balliemore Cup first round tie against Glengarry at Craigard on Saturday 4 June 2022. Will Cowie got Skye off to a great start with goals on 5 and 28 minutes and Taylor Matheson added a third on 38 minutes. Glengarry staged a late comeback with goals from Raymond Robertson on 77 minutes and Nick Dalgety a couple of minutes later. However it is Skye who go on to play Beauly in the next round this coming Saturday. The Skye Camanachd second team lost 2-1 to the Fort William second team in their Mowi North Division 1 meeting at An Aird on Saturday 4 June 2022. After a goalless first half, Greig Kelly put the Fort ahead on 49 minutes. Cam Ross added a second on 75 minutes although Skye’s Iain Murray pulled a goal back a minute later. Skye Camanachd A defeated Aberdour 5-1 in their WCA Mowi National Division match at Silversands on Sunday 5 June 2022. Niamh Donnelly scored for the hosts but doubles from Caitlin MacLean and Donna MacKenzie along with Jenna Beaton’s goal gave Skye victory. Skye Camanachd B lost 3-0 to Ardnamurchan B in the WCA Mowi Challenge Cup at Strontian on Wednesday 1 June 2022. Sally Paterson scored twice with Ellen Munro getting the other. Skye Camanachd B were given a walk-over when Glengarry were unable to field a team for their Mowi North Division 2 match at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 4 June 2022. Skye Camanachd under-17 were not in action. Skye Camanachd under-14 were not in action. Skye Camanachd primaries were 8-0 winners against Kilmallie primaries in their Camanachd Association Cup tie at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Wednesday 1 June 2022. Fergus MacKenzie (North End) and Luke MacKintosh (South End) both grabbed hat-tricks whilst Lachlann MacLeod (North End) bagged a double.
