29 April 2017 Five Skye Camanachd teams were in action this week. The Skye Camanachd first team lost 3-1 to Newtonmore in their Artemis Macaulay Cup first round tie against at Pairc nan Laoch on Saturday 29 April 2017. Iain Robinson gave Newtonmore a 5 minute lead and Glen MacKintosh added a second just 4 minutes later. A James Pringle strike on 34 minutes gave Skye hope but Glen MacKintosh got his second to make it 3-1 on 56 minutes. The Skye Camanachd second team do not have a fixture. The Skye Camanachd Ladies lost 4-2 to Badenoch & Strathspey in their Marine Harvest National Division 1 meeting with Badenoch & Strathspey Ladies at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 29 April 2017. Kirsty Deans and Zoe Reid both scored twice for the visitors with Abby MacLean and Lorna MacRae scoring for Skye. The Skye Camanachd Ladies development squad take part in the Development League – West fixtures at Balgate on Sunday 30 April 2017. Skye Camanachd U17 began their Marine Harvest London Shield schedule with a 4-2 defeat to Kinlochshiel U17 at Plockton High School on Tuesday 25 April 2017. Stewart Taylor and Daniel MacDonald had Skye in front but Finlay MacRae, Sam Stubbs and a Duncan Matheson brace gave ‘Shiel the win. Skye Camanachd U14 beat Kinlochshiel U14 1-0 at Plockton High School in their opening Marine Harvest U14 League – Section C encounter on Friday 28 April 2017. Taylor Matheson got the only goal of the game after 29 minutes. |
