21 April 2018 Five Skye Camanachd teams had scheduled fixtures this weekend. The Skye Camanachd first team lost 2-1 to Lovat in their cottages.com MacTavish Cup quarter-final at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 21 April 2018. Lewis Tawse and Marc MacLachlan had Lovat 2-0 ahead at the break although Jordan Murchison pulled a goal back 10 minutes from time. The Skye Camanachd second team went down 2-1 in their Marine Harvest North Division 1 match against the Newtonmore second team at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Saturday 21 April 2018. Danny MacRae put ‘More ahead before Ross Gordon levelled. Danny MacRae set up substitute David Fraser to make it 2-1 just 10 minutes into the second half. A big thanks to Lachie and Isabel MacLeod for serving superb BBQ food throughout the afternoon. Skye Camanachd Ladies first team were 7-1 winners against Lochaber Ladies in their Marine Harvest National Division 1 meeting at Spean Bridge on Sunday 22 April 2018. Natalie MacDonald scored for the hosts, a Lorna MacRae hat-trick and doubles from Caitlin MacLean and Jenna Beaton gave Skye victory. The Skye Camanachd Ladies second team were to have a Marine Harvest Challenge Cup tie against Dunadd in Skeabost on Saturday 21 April 2018. However Dunadd were unable to fulfil the fixture so Skye go through to the next round. The Skye Camanachd Ladies Development team did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd U17 started their season with a London Shield match against Strathglass U17 at Cannich on Tuesday 17 April 2018. Skye were 5-0 winners with Ruaraidh MacLeod grabbed a hat-trick whilst Ross Gordon and Taylor Matheson got the others. |
