07 May 2016 There were four Skye Camanachd’s fixtures over the course of the last seven days. The Skye Camanachd first team are through to the Artemis MacAulay Cup quarter-finals after they beat Glenurquhart 1-0 at Blairbeg on Saturday 7 May 2016. The only goal of the game came a couple of minutes before the break when Shockie MacLennan, given his first start of the season in attack, put Skye ahead. Skye will now host neighbours Kinlochshiel in the last-eight of the competition. The Skye Camanachd second team recorded their first Marine Harvest North Division 1 win of the season when they beat the Fort William second team 5-0 at An Aird on Saturday 7 May 2016. A John Angus MacInnes double on 23 and 33 minutes had Skye 2-0 ahead at the break. Skye sealed the win early in the second half thanks to goals from James Pringle on 47 minutes and Iain MacLellan. Ross Nicolson rounded off the win with a goal 5 minutes from time. The Skye Camanachd Ladies did not have a fixture. The Skye Camanachd Ladies Development team did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd U17 were to have a MacTavish Juvenile Cup tie with Lochaber U17 at Spean Bridge on Tuesday 3 May 2016. However an unplayable pitch meant the tie will now be rescheduled for a later date. Skye Camanachd B U14 recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Kinlochshiel U14 at Sorley MacLean pitch at Plockton High School on Wednesday 4 May 2016. Niall MacPhee, Katherine Dibble and Holly MacLean got the Skye goals with Ciaran Kellett scoring for ‘Shiel. Skye Camanachd A U14 were 8-1 winners against Skye Camanachd B U14 in their Local League meeting at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Friday 6 May 2016. Dan MacDonald grabbed a hat-trick for the Skye A team whilst Holly MacLean and Ross Gordon bagged doubles. Niall MacPhee got the other Skye A goal with Murphy Henderson netting for Skye B. |
