06 June 2015 Just two Skye Camanachd fixtures went ahead this week and they could hardly have been more important. Skye Camanachd are through to the SSE Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup quarter-finals after they beat Beauly 1-0 in their 3pm throw up at Braeview Park, Beauly on Saturday 6 June. The tie was switched from Portree on Saturday morning as Skye’s Pairc nan Laoch pitch was unplayable. The only goal of the match came after 61 minutes. Skye wing centre Allan MacKinnon has been threatening a goal for a few weeks now and it duly arrived just after the hour mark when he scored what proved to be the winner. Skye will now travel to Tighnabruaich on Saturday 11 July 2015 to play Kyles Athletic in the last eight of shinty’s top competition. The Marine Harvest North Division 2 match between the Skye Camanachd second team and Boleskine on Saturday 6 June 2015 was postponed the previous day as Skye’s Pairc nan Laoch pitch was unplayable. The Skye Camanachd Ladies did not have a fixture. Skye Camanachd U17 are through to the MacTavish Juvenile Cup Final after they beat Kinlochshiel U17 on penalties in their semi-final tie at Pairc nan Laoch, Portree on Wednesday 3 June 2015.
