Skye Camanachd Progress Team Managers Search | |
22 September 2013 Skye Camanachd are progressing their search for both a first team and second team manager ahead of the start of the 2014 shinty season. The club is keen to make early appointments so that planning can begin for the new season. The Skye Camanachd first team failed qualify for the new national second tier which comes into force next season so they will play in Marine Harvest North Division 1 along with Strathglass, Inverness and the reserve teams from Newtonmore, Lovat, Glenurquhart, Beauly and Kingussie. They will also compete in the Scottish Hydro Camanachd Cup, the Co-operative MacTavish Cup and the Balliemore Cup which excludes teams from both national leagues. The Skye Camanachd second team had qualified to play in Marine Harvest North Division 1 but they will have to drop down a league as two club sides cannot play in the same division. The Skye reserves will be in a league with Glengarry, Fort William, Aberdeen University, Kinlochshiel, Lochaber, Lochcarron and Boleskine. They will also compete in the Aberdein Considine Sutherland Cup and Strathdearn Cup. Anyone interested in becoming Skye Camanachd first team or second team manager should contact Skye Camanachd Chairman Willie MacRae on 07736973463 by Monday 30 September 2013. |
